Inland Rail

Cross River Rail
Cross River Rail will unlock a bottleneck in South-East Queensland’s transport network by creating a new 10km high-capacity railway line.
The project is being delivered through two major contracts with the private sector. The Rail, Integration and Systems Alliance is managing the design, supply and installation of all supporting rail systems and is integrating Cross River Rail into Queensland Rail’s existing network. Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2
Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 was the 7.3km light rail extension that connects Gold Coast University Hospital to Helensvale heavy rail station.
The project was fast-tracked to be operational prior to the 2018 Commonwealth Games to improve mobility across the Gold Coast.

WestConnex Stage 2
Stage 2 of Westconnex delivered the new M5 Motorway including twin 9km tunnels from Kingsgrove to St Peters interchange and widening of the existing M5 East Motorway.
The project was delivered under a PPP model and opened to traffic in 2020.

M1 Upgrades
Working in partnership with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads business cases were completed for key components of the M1 motorway linking Brisbane to the Gold Coast and NSW border.
Our senior industry leader worked collaboratively across key stakeholders to ensure that detailed business cases for the Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill and Varsity Lakes to Tugun projects were completed in compliance with national and state frameworks, with both projects confirmed as national infrastructure priorities by Infrastructure Australia. This provided the basis for funding and delivery, which will enhance national productivity through improved travel time for passenger and freight transport.

Bruce Highway Upgrades
Developed in partnership with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads detailed business cases were completed for the Cairns Southern Access Corridor and Caboolture Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way sections of the Bruce Highway linking Brisbane to Cairns.
Our senior industry leader worked collaboratively across key stakeholders to allow for the practical application of national and state frameworks. This resulted in positive assessments of the detailed business cases by Infrastructure Australia and joint Commonwealth and State funding, allowing the projects to proceed to procurement and delivery providing economic and social benefits and improving national freight productivity and safety.

Toowoomba Second Range Crossing
Our senior industry leader provided key advisory services and project team leadership for the Queensland Government transaction team for the PPP procurement.
This was the first application of the availability PPP model to a national highway project and on time transaction management was achieved with a high level of interaction with bidders driving efficiency and value for money outcomes. Advisory services also extended to leading negotiations with the Commonwealth for a significant funding contribution and incorporating this within the PPP commercial and funding arrangements.

Urannah Water Scheme
Addressing the opportunity for new bulk water supply, integrated renewable energy and agricultural development in North Queensland, our senior industry leader completed a readiness for market review of the detailed business case for the Urannah Water Scheme incorporating an assessment against national and state-based frameworks and review of supporting analysis, delivery model assessment and implementation planning.
The review incorporated findings and recommendations for Bowen River Utilities to position the Urannah Water Scheme for successful transition to market engagement and procurement.

Addressed the opportunity for new water infrastructure in the lower Fitzroy River to enhance supply for agricultural producers in the region and provide a secondary source of bulk water supply for domestic and industrial customers in the Gladstone region.
In partnership with Sunwater and the Gladstone Area Water Board our senior industry leader provided strategic direction in completing the detailed business case providing support for investment decisions at a national and state level.
